Assessor – Rebecca Alden
Rebecca “Beckie” Alden
Pike County Assessor - Since 2011
Member of the IAAO and the Arkansas Chapter of IAAO
Recipient of the Outstanding Assessor Award for 2013
Served the County since 2003 in the County Clerk and Circuit Clerk offices.
Elected to the County Assessor position in 2010 and has since served unopposed for five terms. I enjoy helping the public and educating them on the ad valorem tax process.
Came to the county with over 25 years’ experience in Business Administration, 13 of which was in Human Resources.
Married to the love of my life, PJ who is Philip John Alden, 10th Generation direct descendent of John & Priscilla Alden. We have lived on Lake Greeson since 2002 with our beloved dogs.
I have always enjoyed accomplishing what others have left undone. Shortly after moving to Arkansas, I chaired a rural water board to get water to over 300 households working with local, state, and federal agencies to get this accomplished. The end result was very satisfying and rewarding.
What We Do
The office of the Assessor has the following responsibilities to the Citizens of Pike County:
- To locate all taxable property in the county and identify ownership.
- To establish a taxable value for all real and personal properties subject to taxation
- To complete an assessment roll showing the assessed values of all real and personal properties
- To apply all legal exemptions and Amendment 79 Homestead Act where applicable
State law mandates that all real and personal properties are subject to taxation unless otherwise exempted. Your property taxes support necessary services provided to the residents of Pike County including law enforcement, fire protection, education, libraries and other vital services.
